Carlos was a key piece of fundamental Spanish bands such as Kaka De Luxe, Alaska Y Los Pegamoides, and Alaska Y Dinarama. But Berlanga didn't just provide the soundtrack to the Movida madrileña; he elevated the pop song genre to the category of haute couture. He understood music as a global art form. His love for French pop, bossa nova, synthpop, and melodic song endowed his work with a cosmopolitan sophistication unique for its time. And beyond the sheet music, his facet as a painter and illustrator permeated his entire universe, making it clear that his talent spanned any artistic field. Impermeable is formed of eight originals, plus two cover versions: \"A Vannes\" by Françoise Hardy (with lyrics in Spanish and renamed \"A Cannes\") and the classic bossa nova anthem \"Wave\" by Antonio Carlos Jobim, singing the original lyrics in English.
