Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble reimagine the music of the Grateful Dead on Live Dispatch Vol. 1, a vibrant collection of live performances infused with the unmistakable musical spirit of Detroit.
The six-track set dives deep into the Dead’s adventurous songbook, spanning fan favorites and exploratory gems including “The Music Never Stopped,” “Crazy Fingers,” “King Solomon’s Marbles” and “Blues for Allah.”
Fueled by Detroit soul, jazz-minded improvisation and the spontaneity of the stage, the Pan-Detroit Ensemble brings its own distinctive perspective to these beloved compositions.
