The market for pursuing what people actually want is supersaturated, leaving a marketable capability gap for those creating things nobody wants or asked for. 3 is an album entirely diegetic to the experience of making itself, a meta expression of the process of it’s own creation, a purely inward facing auto-response.

Drawing on the vastness of parking lots, the prismatic strangeness of online ads for walking tai chi, and the passive performance of the basket of fruit in a gas station, 3 offers a bespoke cut of unoptimized, nonperfected krautrock, cosmic country, new age, and classic synthesis. Growing on the vine over two days in the studio, followed by an extensive process of roasting, grinding, and percolating in the lab, the aptly titled 3 brings a reclining, spacious volume to the solid of fling ii’s triptych catalog.
