New title for the British Jazz Explosion series to be a first ever vinyl reissue of 'Child Song' by English trumpet player Henry Lowther (b. 1941), an early example of British jazz fusion, incorporating electric instruments in the style of late '60s Miles Davis. The album was originally released on the DERAM label in 1970, with Lowther (tenor sax), joined by Tony Roberts (saxophone), Mike McNaught (electric piano), Daryl Runswick (bass), and Mike Travis (drums). In addition to his many collaborations with the cream of British Jazz, Henry's long and eclectic career saw him play with classical orchestras, Manfred Mann, John Mayall, appear at the Woodstock Festival, Elton John, Talk Talk, Bryan Ferry, and Van Morrison, among others
