Quiet Forest is Hiroshi Yoshimura's last album-length work released before his passing in 2003. First issued on CD in 1996, the music grew from his visit to the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park and the wider Pacific Northwest - soft ambient pieces shaped by stillness, clear melody, and open space, recorded in the fall of 1993.

This Temporal Drift reissue is the album's first vinyl pressing, made with Yoshimura's estate. Remastered from original sources by John Baldwin, it includes English translations of the 1996 liner notes, reproductions of Yoshimura's handwritten recording notes, and a 5" x 7" postcard print. The LITA exclusive Vibrant Moss LP is pressed at Optimal.
