Jay Worthy & George Clinton - Generation P (Vinyl LP) PRE-ORDER

Expected Release Date: 12-February-2027 - This Pre-order will be shipped on or just before this date. Release dates are subject to alteration.

On Generation P, Compton-via-Vancouver underground rapper Jay Worthy joins Parliament-Funkadelic mastermind George Clinton, bringing the psychedelic sound of ’70s P-Funk into the laid-back world of contemporary West Coast street rap.

Clinton threads spoken sermons, surreal cosmic parables and psychedelic scatting through the record. Worthy grounds those flights of imagination with his trademark deadpan delivery, sketching scenes of back-alley deals, late-night cruising and vintage luxury.

Wobbling analogue basslines run beneath warm electric piano, wailing synths and layered gospel harmonies. The arrangements echo Clinton’s work with Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell and trace the influence of P-Funk on early ’90s G-funk. With Clinton and Worthy working side by side, Generation P lets that lineage unfold in the music itself.
