Resistance is Fertile was recorded using layered first take performances. All tracks were recorded to “dance music” tempo markings (between 120-172 beats per minute, or BPM) beginning with voice memo beatboxes, layered on top by drums, synths and finally horns. These multitracked improvisations were then edited and mixed into the compositions heard on the album. JMMR is built for guests, and the album features blinding improvisational contributions from reedmen to the stars Stuart Bogie and Cochemea Gastelum, and global sensations Morgan Priceand Ricardo Quinones...
These limited edition LPs are pressed on cherry based ecomix to create a marbled texture to the LPs housed in full color gatefold jackets designed by longtime Nublu collaborator, Martin Olgolter.
